Money should be like water, keep moving

Money should stay in motion, and not stay still for too long.
Still for too long, and it breeds emotion.
Emotion with money, is a toxic cocktail.
So keeping it flowing is a recipe I find conducive to a healthier Life.
Inflow > Outflow. Has to be that way.
But it must keep flowing. Like water.
I've never fully understood the idea of hoarding money. Or hoarding anything really.
It's meant to be put to work.
Spent on things. Invested into ventures. Lent to borrowers. Capitalized into assets. Donated into causes. Gifted without remorse.
Leveraging the multiplier and inherently productive trait of money.
I also just feel there's something calmingly spiritual about it moving. Give more than you Get, and i feel like eventually we get more.
Makes everyone only a temporary custodian of a fabricated resource. A construct to store and exchange value in society.
Been thinking about Niall Ferguson's lovely history of money from a decade ago.
This has taken root in my life in 3 ways:
I tip generously. But only when not asked. Tip the gym guy, tip the waiter, tip anyone helpful. Unsolicited. Get good service, and pay it forward with a smile.
I pay all my bills way too quickly. Personal or corporate (legal, payroll, etc). It's been a habit for years. I think mainly because i like to get paid fast, and it's become a practice even on the outflow end. Anyone who gets paid faster than usual always remembers you. And never wants to lose you
Mindset of abundance. I don't look at money as a limited, scarce resource. I did in my early life. But now i look at it as an unlimited thing. To be earned and grown, and multiplied. There's no limit to how much anyone should be able to have.
My relationship with it is to treat it like water. Keep it flowing.
Also just spreads, and invites good karma.
