Maker-Checker

I've been seeing this line 'Age of A.I' pop up in more and more places recently. Most of it human inferred, although a growing chunk of it is probably Gen-A.I propagated itself.
This has added to my thinking on what it means to be Human in the Age of A.I. Or more importantly, what does it mean for an A.I to be in the Age of Humans?
Everyone's talking about the looming wave of abundance waiting to be unleashed on humanity.
Drudgery and boring monotonous work will apparently be automated away, handled by untiring robots (like Optimus).
Leaving us humans to enjoy our free time opened up, to pursue higher pursuits, hobbies, arts, physical excellence, experiences and relationships.
Sounds super exciting, but what does work in that world look like?
My thinking is there will always be a maker-checker requirement in systems we trust.
Earlier the maker and checker were both human.
Then we saw areas where the Maker is human, but the Checker is A.I.
Now and over time, I expect most functional analytical work to be owned and made by A.I, with a human to assist as a Checker before final deployment. Like writing code, legal drafts, and financial analysis.
Us human's roles become checking, judging, verifying, curating .... adding our Agency
The layer of Trust that's not replaceable.
The Future doesn't belong to those who can use AI best.
The future belongs to those who can remain human best while using AI.
i.e:
intact attention
intact taste
intact judgment
intact agency
